The Mental Health Promotion & Resiliency Facilitation Program at CMHA Hamilton is recruiting new speakers for our TAMI (Talking About Mental Illness) program!

The TAMI program provides in-person and virtual education sessions focused on reducing the stigma associated with mental illness, featuring individuals with lived experience of mental illness sharing their story of hope & resiliency. TAMI sessions are provided in schools, businesses, community organizations/workplaces and also to the general public. Each session is approximately one hour in length and is co-facilitated alongside a CMHA staff member from the MHPR Program.
What we are looking for:
- A Candidate with strong public speaking skills who has a story of lived experience to share with the community.
- A time commitment of approximately 1-3, 1-hour sessions monthly operated during CMHA’s working hours (8:30am – 4:30pm)
- Occasional weekend and evening opportunities available
- The ability to travel within Hamilton and surrounding areas (Dundas, Ancaster, Stoney Creek) during these hours.
Please note, this is a volunteer position that provides an honorarium per session.
