To compliment the FREE virtual series in light of Bell Let’s Talk, CMHA Hamilton will be hosting a Thursday TAMI Series featuring an individual with lived experience. TAMI is facilitated by a CMHA staff who discusses an overview of mental health, mental illness, ways to reduce stigma, resources and as mentioned, we have various speakers who will be sharing their individual stories with you.
Angela Jaspan – Thursday, January 7th 2021 (12:00 – 1:00 PM)
Angela is a veteran speaker with the TAMI program. She has been featured in the Hamilton Spectator and on CHCH News sharing her story. She is a past winner of the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation Spirit of Hope Award and works as a peer support worker. Angela will be sharing her journey with schizoaffective disorder.

Brittany has been sharing her story with the TAMI program for a number of years. Brittany is completing her Masters Degree in Social Work and will be sharing her information on her experiences living with a mental illness diagnosis.

Don is a veteran public speaker sharing his experiences around the world. Don is a huge advocate for those living with mental illness and works in crisis support, mental health policy and he’s also a Youth Mentor with lived experience.

In honor of Bell Let’s Talk 2021, CMHA Hamilton presents “The Power of Lived Experience” … a virtual panel discussion focused on hope, recovery, and the value in sharing your story with mental illness.
