Community Training Announcement
Sep 5, 2023
Sunday, September 10th, 2023, is World Suicide Prevention Day. Every year on September 10th, people from over 50 countries across the globe gather to recognize this important day. WSPD is a chance for everyone to join the conversation in promoting understanding about the impact of suicide. Suicide is a public health concern, however we at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Hamilton believe that suicide prevention is everyone’s business. Thus, if we all do our part… it is our hope that we can work together to prevent death by suicide and the devastating impact that this has on our community.
In honor of World Suicide Prevention Day (Sunday, September 10th, 2023), CMHA Hamilton is pleased to announce that we are hosting several community training opportunities’ in Fall 2023 including safeTALK, ASIST and MHFA. These opportunities were brought forth under our Roots of Hope suicide prevention project, which is a collaboration between CMHA Hamilton and the Suicide Prevention Community Council of Hamilton (SPCCH). As such, all trainings will be offered at-cost due to a generous donation from the SPCCH.
